A Course in Miracles: Epilogue

Epilogue

The miracles have only just begun!  As we are assured in the opening lines of the epilogue, our walk continues.  Each day, with each step we take, we devote ourselves to miracles.  Could there be a more meaningful way of being?  It is the miracle of the breath: the miracle of presence: the miracle of our remembrance: and it is the miracle of watching God arise in new and wondrous ways.  We devote our awareness to a love so predictable with an energy so mysterious that its form is holy unpredictable.  It is the divine dichotomy and one worth observing, as Its manifestation is guaranteed and certain.

The course is a beginning, not an end.  Your Friend goes with you.  You are not alone.  No one who calls on Him can call in vain.  Whatever troubles you, be certain that He has the answer, and will gladly give it to you, if you simply turn to Him and ask it of Him.  He will not withhold all answers that you need for anything that seems to trouble you.  He knows the way to solve all problems, and resolve all doubts.  His certainty is yours.  You need but ask it of Him, and it will be given you” (ACIM Epilogue 1:1-9).

From Lesson 1 to today, we have been preparing for the moment when there was no more need for instruction.  The Course is an experiential endeavor and has given us the means of understanding that the greater teacher is within.  All that we have been searching for, we already are.  Daily, we have walked within and listened to that Voice, coming to know it so intimately that no more prompting to find It is necessary.  Yet, surely if words are needed, you know exactly where to go as God always directs you to the perfect word you may need in A Course in Miracles or any other text that speaks to your heart.  It is a beautiful practice at times to come to those texts, ask a question, and open to a random page and see the perfection of the message that is given to us.  Should we need it, the Word is always given.

“No more specific lessons are assigned, for there is no more need of them.  Henceforth, hear but the Voice for God and for your Self when you return from the world, to seek reality instead.  He will direct your efforts, telling you exactly what to do, how to direct your mind, and when to come to Him in silence, asking for His sure direction and His certain Word.  His is the Word that God has given you.  His is the Word you chose to be your own” (ACIM Epilogue 3:1-5).

Everything you need to know is in this exact moment.  That too is the miracle.  You need nothing more or nothing less.  Everything in front of you serves as a perfect means for your journey Home.  No matter what you may see, you can always ask the God that is You, “How would You have me see this?” and watch as You guide you Self towards the peace that is present in the calm and the chaos.  You are always welcome to this holy place should you choose.  The door was never closed; it is as open as your Heart.

“You will be told exactly what God wills for you each time there is a choice to make.  And He will speak for God and for your Self, thus making sure that hell will claim you not, and that each choice you make brings Heaven nearer to your reach.  And so we walk with Him from this time on, and turn to Him for guidance and for peace and sure direction.  Joy attends our way.  For we go homeward to an open door which God has held unclosed to welcome us” (ACIM Epilogue 5:2-6).

We have had individual experiences along our Walk in Miracle but we have never walked alone.  And as we continue to walk beyond words, we are met with our Guides that continue to speak to us of the wisdom of The Way.  Those that have gone before us and who are inspired by the journey we now take.  They know the path and surround us with the perfect love and encouragement to continue our devotion to miracles.  They assure us how we are constantly comforted and are held in Love’s arms.

“You do not walk alone.  God’s angels hover near and all about.  His Love surrounds you, and of this be sure; that I will never leave you comfortless” (ACIM Epilogue 6:6-8).

The journey does not end.  It just takes a miraculous new shape.  We are part of an eternal energy that ebbs and flows in the infinite; constantly in motion, giving and receiving, as God gives birth God.  Dar a la luz, is the term in Spanish for giving birth and is directly translated to “to give light.”  As we continue to Walk in Miracles, our steps give birth to more and more light.  Throughout the year, you have been birthing yourself.  Each day is a “birth” day, as you gift your Self and the world with the Light that you are, the Light you were created to Be.  And how much Light that is!

Thank you for your journey and for your role as Miracle Maker and Way Shower.  You are the Miracle that makes this world so bright…and the miracles have just begun!  I have never seen so much Light!  Namaste.
