A Course in Miracles, or The Course as it is also referred, is a channeled text, published in 1976, by two Professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia's University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, Helen Schulman and William Thetford. The following pages are to be a daily walk with those who are working with the 365 lessons in The Workbook section of The Course. This text is not about intellectualizing spirituality but about integrating the teachings in order to fully remember Who and What we truly are. It is about choosing love over fear and forgiveness over judgment.

The purpose of these pages is to encourage simplification of the lessons in A Course in Miracles by utilizing songs, movie clips, photographs, art, and teachings from other healing or spiritual modalities, to remind us that no matter what course, book, or ideology we endeavor to use, it is all based upon the same premise, that there is only Love.
"Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God”

A Walk In Miracles: The Introduction

A Course in Miracles, or The Course as it is also referred, is considered a channeled text and labor of love of two Professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia’s University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, Helen Schulman and William Thetford, published in 1976.  It was channeled through Helen, “three startling months […]

A Course in Miracles: Part I, Lesson I

A Course in Miracles:  Part 1, Lesson 1 Lesson 1 Nothing I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] means anything. Welcome to A Walk in Miracles! During this journey, we will approach and explore each lesson in the book A Course in Miracles as a mindful walk we take daily, […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 2

Lesson 2 I have given everything I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] all the meaning that it has for me. We take another step beyond yesterday’s lesson of “Nothing I see in this room means anything,” in which for the most part, can be taken at face […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 3

Lesson 3 I do not understand anything I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place]. Meditation is a very useful practice where one can learn to retrain the mind and break the habit of blind reaction.  Often when thoughts arise we immediately react, even without notice.  Physiologically our blood […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 4

Lesson 4 These thoughts do not mean anything.  They are like the things I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place]. I honor the time I have taken in silence and on retreats, in particular to Vipassana Centers for a ten-day sit.  I can recall meditations where I have […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 5

Lesson 5 I am never upset for the reason I think. If my thoughts do not mean anything, then how could I truly know what I am upset over? Thus, am I really even upset?  Today’s lessons help us uncover just that.  In the practice periods we are called to examine the mind for what […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 6

Lesson 6 I am upset because I see something that is not there.   To “linger” means to stay in a particular state for a while, most often longer than necessary.  The rock group, The Cranberries, sang of just this word in the 90’s hit, Linger.  The edgy sound of the guitar at the beginning, […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 7

Lesson 7 I see only the past. Today is our first official lesson about time and calls upon us to notice how we perceive each item that catches our eye and how we label each object based on past experiences. I see only the past in this blanket. I see only the past in this […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 8

Lesson 8 My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts. Starting to read this lesson, I found my mind going back and forth from thinking of the past and then projecting into the future.  It was a mental game of ping pong in my head and only when the ball hit the net was I in […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 9

Lesson 9 I see nothing as it is now. I am reminded today of a physics lesson.  I remember learning about vibrations, wavelengths, and the movement of particles.  My teacher talked about the vibration of a desk and the wavelength between the particles.  If an object appeared to be more solid, like a desk, then […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 10

Lesson 10 My thoughts do not mean anything. Today’s lesson is very profound and invites courage to take the responsibility for our own thoughts.  But we are more than ready to take on today’s work.  This is why:  ten days in, let us recap specific lessons that have led us to this one in particular: […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 11

Lesson 11 My meaningless thoughts are showing me a meaningless world. After yesterday’s internal work, we open our eyes to greet a new world in front of us.  A world in which we recognize that our thoughts create our experience.  We have been told to watch our thoughts and to choose the good ones.  Why? […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 12

Lesson 12 I am upset because I see a meaningless world. As we head down this yellow brick road, we find that each lesson of the Course holds so much power and wisdom.  Lesson 12 is no exception, except potentially is one that is the keeper of many keys to unlocking the chains that binds […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 13

Lesson 13 A meaningless world engenders fear.   Today’s lesson calls upon our ability to perceive and observe our desire to do so.  As we have been introduced to the blank space that lies within the mind and the meaningless world we see, it is tough to for our eyes to see that there is […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 14

Lesson 14 God did not create a meaningless world.  Today’s lesson leaves me saying, “Thank God,” as we review the horrors of our mind during the practice periods.  Although fear and pain may come up with the thoughts that cross the mind there is a sense of solid comfort and peace that follows.  What is […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 15

Lesson 15 My thoughts are images that I have made.   Today’s lesson begins with the most confusing statement the Course has to offer: “It is because the thoughts you think you think appear as images that you do not recognize them as nothing.  You think you think them, and so you think you see […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 16

Lesson 16 I have no neutral thoughts. Prompted by today’s lesson, I wanted to know just how many non-neutral thoughts we actually do have in a day, hour, and minute.  If you research online the number you will most likely run into is 70,000 thoughts per day.  That breaks down to 3,000 per hour and 50 […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 17

Lesson 17 I see no neutral things. It is an election year, thus, there are many debates, points of view, changes to come, hot topics arising, and various, what seems like, pressing issues.  It is a time that comes every four years where we are reminded of polarity and where we are given the opportunity […]

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 18

Lesson 18 I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing. Welcome to a lesson on the “The Frame.”  Today is an introduction to the frame from which we see our lives, ourselves, and others.  Imagine your eyes create the borders of a frame and that which is in view as you look […]

A Course in Miracle: Lesson 19

Lesson 19 I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts. Today’s idea goes a step further from yesterday’s.  It is more of the recognition that we are of one mind which makes sense when you think for a moment.  We are all created by God, in Her likeness, and were created at […]
