Lesson 97
I am spirit.
What you are is beyond the body, beyond the time-space continuum, and beyond all concepts of limits and boundaries. The form you inhabit is merely a vessel in which to experience the Truth about yourself and to share that Truth with the world around you, becoming a living Savior. In abiding in your Truth that you were created like Love Itself, as one Self, spirit, and light, you begin to live in the world but not of the world. You can mindfully maneuver to accomplish what needs to be done but your purpose of bringing salvation becomes your main focus, uniting your journey and your vessel with Source.
You are no longer the moon chasing the sun at night or the sun chasing the moon at day. What you are, is both sun and moon, the light to the darkness, and every possibility seen and unseen in between. You are no longer split between night and day but the totality of both and beyond. In our walk today, this Absolute Truth is brought even closer to your lived experience.
“No chill of fear can enter, for your mind has been absolved from madness, letting go of illusions of a split identity” (ACIM Lesson 97 1:5).
In the span of your entire day, is five minutes each hour too much to ask to recall your holiness, your perfection? As we are taken out of the concept of time and reciprocity, we learn that beyond the limits we have constructed, with each five minutes we are saving ourselves numerous years and receiving a gift a hundred times more than what we initially gave in worldly minutes. That is what God can do with a little willingness. God can move Her mighty power in a Holy Instant.
“Each time you practice, awareness is brought a little nearer at least; sometimes a thousand years or more are saved. The minutes which you give are multiplied over and over, for the miracles makes use of time, but is not ruled by it. Salvation is a miracle, the first and last; the first that is the last, for it is one” (ACIM Lesson 97 3:2-4).
When we become aware that we are spirit, united with our Creator, salvation is made complete. It truly is the first miracle and the last, for no other miracles are needed. And if we forget and become bound to the world again, this miracle is still available to us and we are free to repeat this process over and over for as long as we like. Our Home is going nowhere but now we have benefit of knowing the way.
“Thus will each gift to Him be multiplied a thousand fold and tens of thousands more. And when it is returned to you, it will surpass in might they little gift you gave as much as does the radiance of the sun outshine the time gleam a firefly makes an uncertain moment and goes out. The steady brilliance of this light remains and lead you out of darkness, nor will you be able to forget the way again” (ACIM Lesson 97 6:1-3)
How little we are asked to give. How little it truly takes to fully Remember. The journey need not be hard or complicated. It only takes our awareness in each moment to choose Truth, our eternal union with our Creator. Today, will you not joyfully give Her these words,
“Spirit am I, a holy Son of God, free of all limits, safe and healed and whole, free to forgive, and free to save the world” (ACIM Lesson 97 7:2).
Then once uttered, pause, be still, and listen for the surety of the Voice that responds to your spirit. Take in the Absolute Truth of your being, let it flow through you and from you, as you gift it back to Source and the world. What you are confirming is truly The Circle of All Life. A Life beyond what we know life to be; outside of space, time, and body. A life in spirit.
