A Course in Miracles: Final Lessons
Introduction
In our final lessons words are few and serve only as a means to move beyond them, as even language can limit what is meant to be experienced as limitless. Behind the letters on a page and words spoken, is the tranquil spaciousness of God and where we find our holy union. There we fully return to our Identity and allow God to move through us, as us. Words serve a wonderful purpose but eventually there will come a time when we will let go of them as an aid and go straight to the Heart of Knowing.
“Unto us the aim is given to forgive the world. It is the goal that God has given us. It is His ending to the dream we seek, and not our own. For all that we forgive we will not fail to recognize as part of God Himself. And thus His memory is given back, completely and complete” (ACIM Final Lessons, Introduction 3:2-6).
The Way is simple and closer than the breath. It is the Isness that is in each moment. It is the infinitude that we come to abide in when we forgive a world already forgiven. This is so because our forgiveness is merely the remembrance, not an act of power that we lord over another. In our forgiveness we join the world as Christ, as we no longer see with insane eyes but with an open heart.
“It is our function to remember Him on earth, as it is give us to be His Own completion in reality. So let us not forget our goal is shared, for it is that remembrance which contains the memory of God, and points the way to Him and to the Heaven of His peace. And shall we not forgive our brother, who can offer this to us? (ACIM Final Lessons, Introduction 4:1-3)
As we continue to Walk in Miracles, we shall still find our feet on Mother Earth while our holy being resides in a place beyond solid ground, a place that is more concrete than where we step our feet. We do not wholly vibrate off the planet but remain as Way Showers to our fellow angels still choosing to experience various flavors of insanity. We use the world to enhance our Light, giving us glimpses of where we can abide more fully as an integrated being, so as to live as holy examples and invitations to others. Again, using a language that is beyond words where we abide in, and as, limitlessness.
“We will not end this year without the gift our Father promised to His holy Son. We are forgiven now. And we are saved from all the wrath we thought belonged to God, and found it was a dream. We are restored to sanity, in which we understand that anger is insane, attack is mad, and vengeance foolish fantasy” (ACIM Final Lessons, Introduction 5:1-3).
God’s gifts are given to us in each step. This we have seen throughout our daily experiences and through our willingness to trust in Her magnificence. At first, it was a little scary to let go of the illusory gifts of the world but as we ventured deeper and deeper into the Heart, we remembered the Truth is real and with it our sanity restored. In the last year, we have journey far yet at the same time we journeyed nowhere at all, for God was never a specific distance away, only a thought, which we have fully forgiven and corrected. And now, we are ready, ready to walk forward with fewer words into a deeper experience of Her Love, a Love Integrated.
Before we embrace the final lessons, I encourage you to abide in stillness for a moment. Honor the journey you have taken over the last year. Feel how Her gifts are part of your entire being and integrated in each breath. Feel how you truly need no words to be with Her. She is Here….Now. Bless the words that are to come before you but dare to walk beyond. Reflect on the ones who have walked before you and recognize how their inspiration is held in their living experience; how they live, and have lived, their lives. Dear One, this too is You. You now abide in a communication that is more powerful than words, it is a holy energy that embraces you and is a beacon to those in need. You need no words, as You are the Walking Miracle.
I meet You in this holy space, the space behind the words. We shall continue our walk together there…and beyond. Namaste.
