Lesson 231
Father, I will but to remember You.
“What can I seek for, Father, but Your Love? Perhaps I think I seek for something else; a something I have called by many names. Yet is Your Love the only thing I seek, or ever sought. For there is nothing else that I could ever really want to find. Let me remember You. What else could I desire but the truth about myself?
This is your will, my brother. And you share this will with me, and with the One as well Who is our Father. To remember Him is Heaven. This we seek. And only this is what it will be given us to find” (ACIM Lesson 231 1:1-6 & 2:1-5).
What is it you truly desire? Not only reflect on this inquiry now but also let it come to you even as you are walking down the aisle at the grocery store or pumping gas at the gas station. Even in our routine, mundane human activities, what are we really searching for? Yes, we take actions to live in this world and to take care of ourselves, however, even in those small moments, can we see that our true desire is to know ourselves as a Child of God? What would it be like to pump gas as Christ? What would it be like to greet the world as Christ, even at the supermarket?
No matter the task at hand, or in the silence we sit, we can always experience God, should that be our will to do so. The idea of Part II in A Course in Miracles is to begin to live a fully integrated life and to see that there is no separation between you and me and God. We are never without one another. In Lesson 71, “Only God’s plan for salvation will work,” we laid the foundation for what we will do today, the realization that no matter what we seek, we ultimately seek only God, and only Her plan for salvation will work. No hoops we create for ourselves and no amount of technological inventions will ever stand substitute for that which we truly seek.
What a divine day it is, when we can come with an honest heart to know ourselves and to know our Oneness with God. God Will’s for you to remember. Today, you both align as One Will, and through Her words, that is promised to work. There is no other outcome possible. Namaste.
