Lesson 266
My holy Self abides in you, God’s Son.
“Father, You gave me all Your Sons, to be my saviors and my counselors in sight; the bearers of Your holy Voice to me. In them are You reflected, and in them does Christ look back upon me from my Self. Let not Your Son forget Your holy Name. Let not Your Son forget his holy Source. Let not Your Son forget his name is Yours” (ACIM Lesson 266 1:1-5).
God’s signature rests upon the world. It resides in you, me, and all things created, leaving us without any potential to witness Her glory and majesty. In all eyes before us lies the opportunity to witness Her glory and the ability to remember Who and What we truly are. Time and time again, She proves that we never walk alone, if we but only see.
“How can we lose the way to Him, when He has filed the world with those who point to Him, and given us the sight to look on them?” (ACIM Lesson 266 2:3)
Once more we are led to explore our holy vision and to recognize the Self that abides in each being. The Self that connects us all and that shines the light of all. This Self is not just seen in other humans but is reflected in Mother Nature, the sky above, the sun, the cup on our desk, and even in the billboard on our drive home. There is nothing without Her holy signature to remind us of our Light and peace. Anything animate and inanimate is laced with the potential to show us our divinity. For example, our car breaks down on the way to work, here lies the holy potential for the car to teach us of our peace and power to see the Light in how this circumstance unfolds and resolves in perfection. Another example is when a fellow brother or sister says something less than becoming. He or she is the perfect teacher to remind us, “There goes the holy Self, reminding me of the beauty and benefit in uttering words that are only full of love and kindness.” Ta da! The signature of our Creator and Teacher abides in all things, circumstances, and situations.
Today, we rest in the Oneness of all, as we see the holiness that alights each moment. That is the glory of this world, it is that our beauty is painted all over it and at the bottom of the canvas is the one holy signature of God, in whom we were created. The process is so beautiful.
