Lesson 269
My sight goes forth to look upon Christ’s face.
“I ask Your blessing on my sight today. It is the means which You have chosen to become the way to show me my mistakes, and look beyond them. It is given me to find a new perception through the Guide You have to me, and through His lessons to surpass perception and return to truth. I ask for the illusion which transcends all those I made. Today I choose to see a world forgiven, in which everyone shows me the face of Christ, and teaches me that what I look upon belongs to me; that nothing is, except Your holy Son” (ACIM Lesson 269 1:1-5).
Everything we see is holy. Our eyes are truly blessed, as we no longer see bodies built in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Rather what we see is the common thread we all share, our Light. In Truth, we all have the same name, Christ; the same mother-father, God; the same birthday, the birth of creation; and the same purpose, to awaken. The thought that the body keeps us separate and different is just an illusion. We are part of the oneness, yet all the while still maintaining our uniqueness.
Our slight deviation from one another is only the means of our journey Home. What we are here to learn collectively is the same but the course offering may be different from soul to soul. We are all returning to love but our unique journey Home is what makes our experience so memorable. It is this particular journey that calls us to fully remember and enables our holy sight to emerge. Today, recognize the Truth that we all share, the one that is displayed on the face of humanity. Soften your eyes and behold the Light that is in front of you. I SEE You. Namaste.
