A Course in Miracles: Lesson 301

Lesson 301

And God Himself shall wipe away all tears.

“Father, unless I judge I cannot weep.  Nor can I suffer pain, or feel I am abandoned or unneeded in the world.  This is my home because I judge it not, and therefore is it only what You will.  Let me today behold it uncondemned, through happy eyes forgiveness has released from all distortion.  Let me see Your world instead of mine.  And all the tears I shed will be forgotten, for their source is gone.  Father, I will not judge Your world today” (ACIM Lesson 301 1:1-7).

There is a saying, “When you point one finger, there are three fingers pointing back at you.”  It is quote that draws one’s attention back to who is doing the judging and condemning.  If nothing in the world can harm us, take away our joy, cause us pain, and disturb our peace and innocence, then who is the culprit when this does happen?  Who is to blame when we no longer see God’s happy world?

“God’s world is happy.  Those who look on it can only add their joy to it, and bless it as a cause of further joy in them.  We wept because we did not understand.  But we have learned the world we saw was false, and we will look upon God’s world today” (ACIM Lesson 301 2:1-4).

Today, our attention is drawn to the subtle ways in which we condemn a world we see.  We take responsibility for the areas in which we are choosing to experience a world other than what God intended.  Luckily, we do not have to overhaul such areas ourselves.  We peacefully allow God to make any corrections, wipe away all tears of illusions, and show us that Her world is truly miraculous and that we, in our simple presence, add to its abundance of blessings.

There is another quote from book and movie, The Help, “You is smart.  You is kind.  And you is important.”  Allow the Holy Spirit to whisper these words to you throughout the day.  This is the world you are truly a part of and a world that must have your Light and your Presence to exist.  This importance wipes away all tears and illusions and replaces them with pure Truth:  You are smart:  You are kind:  You are very, very important to the Ascension of All.

When you go Home, we all go Home.  The journey you take today magnifies the way for all those around you.  In following the guidance of those three pointing fingers, you go within, allowing God to work through you and show you Her world so that you may show others.  When you see the joy in you, you uplift the world and add to the ascension.  That is the importance of being You.  Namaste.
