Lesson 354
We stand together, Christ and I, in peace and certainty of purpose.
And in Him is His Creator, as He is in me.
“My oneness with the Christ establishes me as Your Son, beyond the reach of time, and wholly free of every law but Yours. I have no self except the Christ in me. I have no purpose but His Own. And He is like His Father. Thus must I be one with You as well as Him. For who is Christ except Your Son as You created Him? And what am I except the Christ in me? (ACIM Lesson 354 1:1-7).
Christ is not a single someone who died on a cross over 2000 years ago. That was a version of the Christ, a Son of God, making a grand display to teach the other dormant “Christ figures” that they, too, no longer needed to be held within the limits and laws of the body. It is true that in our Oneness there is only the One Christ, however in body form Christ has come to experience the awakening of humanity in various states, species, and journeys. Thus, Christ is in You as You are in Him. Recall from a previous section, 9. What is the Second Coming?, that the Second Coming is not the return of the man from two millennia ago, rather is it is the collective awakening of the Christ within all. It is no longer placing divinity outside ourselves but embodying what He and other Masters have taught us: our oneness, our forgiveness, our love, our compassion, our Identity, and the purpose that lies in our peace.
You are the miracle that is the Christ, the Daughter/Son of God, capable of abiding beyond time and space, with or without a body, reminding those around you that they, too, are One with you in your Identity and purpose. You have chosen to incarnate at a wonderful time in human history, a time when the momentum of Oneness is building, asking for your participation and personal expression of the Christ. A time when, mostly, no one can crucify you for your Godly expression, in fact most of the time it is more embraced than not. Christ has never had more worldly freedom to claim Her Divinity than now. So, what are we waiting for? It is not time to stand together in Christ, as Christ?
Abiding in peace and purpose brings relief to the human experience, uniting our body and being. There is no striving that must be done, as purpose and peace go beyond words straight to embodying the Christ that is within each of us. You need look nowhere, YOU are Here, already. Let us stand together in our Christly Truth. Namaste.
