Lesson 357
Truth answers every call we make to God,
Responding first with miracles,
And then returning unto us to be itself.
“Forgiveness, truth’s reflection, tells me how to offer miracles, and thus escape the prison house in which I think I live. Your holy Son is pointed out to me, first in my brother; then in me. Your Voice instructs me patiently to hear Your Word, and give as I receive. And as I look upon Your Son today, I hear Your Voice instructing me to find the way to You, as You appointed that the way shall be: ‘Behold his sinlessness, and be you healed.'” (ACIM Lesson 357 1:1-4).
Have you ever thought about the content in the calls you make to God? How often are your calls for material and personal gain, perhaps for a worldly desire to be fulfilled? And how often have you asked God to simply show you the Truth, in particular the Truth in another? The latter question is where we are headed today, however, it is good to contrast Truth with what we have been accustomed to requesting before, purely for a sense of awareness.
Truth answers every call if we but ask for that Truth. If we want to see such Truth, we must recognize how it is present in our fellow brothers and sisters, our holy reflections. Thus, a beautiful practice for today is merely to go and sit somewhere where there are people passing by and ask, “God, show me how You see the one before me.” And then watch the miracles flow as Love returns to Itself. Watch how the layers of protection and created identities fade away, leaving the one true Identity. What you will see before you is You. How clever are we to have created separate bodies to able to witness such majesty unfold right before our very eyes. It is a miracle!
Abide in what your eyes behold throughout the day, “Behold his sinlessness, and be you healed” (ACIM Lesson 357 1:4). See the Light that shines bright in each of your brothers and sisters and feel how it, too, glows within you. Ask for Truth and Truth you shall receive. Namaste.
