Lesson 51
Review I: Introduction
As the Course is written, every so often there are review periods. These are so perfectly placed throughout the Course to give us a moment’s pause to reflect. We have been doing some serious, yet fun, work over the last fifty days as we have retrained the mind and embraced Our Divinity. It is a good time to briefly look over the lessons we have covered to this point. It is akin to checking in on your New Year’s intentions.
This is a time to recommit if need be or to focus differently or to see where you can bring more fun into the lessons each day. The spiritual journey need not be a drag, actually it shouldn’t be. But you are free to go about it that way if you wish.
As we embark on our walk of review, let us notice the pearls from each day and recognize the beautiful necklace that has been presented to us in completion. See how each lesson is an appropriate step for the next. How we have gone at the perfect pace: not too fast, not too slow. And celebrate how far we have come together.
This review is flexible in how we practice as it gives us the opportunity to become aware in our daily lives how the Course can work through us. In a way, we are being shown that we are the Masters of our experience. All we need to do is just show up.
“You will yet learn that peace is a part of you, and requires only that you be there to embrace any situation in which you are. And finally you will learn that there is no limit to where you are, so that your peace is everywhere, as you are (ACIM Lesson 51 5:1-2).”
For the purposes of our walk together, during this review period I will share with you a way in which Source communicates with me in my awareness to show up. On my journey with A Course in Miracles and other inspired texts I have become aware of the Divine Conversation that takes place around me. Often as I go about the classroom of life, I recognize a sign, a decal, a t-shirt, a piece of street art, or other such artifact that continuously speaks to me as a reminder that I Am the Light.
When this started to arise in my awareness I thought it rather peculiar then I started to see this morphing energy that wanted to communicate with me through these inanimate objects. Thus, I started to take photos of such conversation pieces. Another friend of mine mentioned that it is rather good to take a picture of such things as when the photo was snapped it will also be recorded and posted in other dimensions to show the ways in which our consciousness on Earth is rising.
Regardless, I find it appropriate to share these pictures with you during our time of reflection. As you review what arises for you from the lessons may these pictures inspire you of the eternal conversation that you are a part of. Also, may it spark something within you to become aware of how Source is trying to communicate with You. Participate in the Cosmic Conversation. It is everywhere, as you are.
As we begin our review, let me take a moment of gratitude for the walk we have made thus far. Your presence and dedication is felt through the ethers. Although some of us do not physically know one another, we do know the soul in each other and I honor your presence and your light. I remember You. And as You come to Be. I come to Be.
