Lesson 141: Review IV
My mind holds only what I think with God.
Welcome to Review IV! Since our last review our focus as been on forgiveness, the power of choice, acceptance, and allowance. We have come to experience that what we Are, is already here, now, and is merely waiting our recognition. Since this is so, it is only possible that our minds can only contain what we think with God. It cannot be otherwise.
“For in his mind no thoughts can dwell but those his Father shares” (ACIM Review IV 2:6).
The cornerstone for our next review is readiness. We have been preparing our minds as a gardener tills her garden. We have investigated every root and cultivated only that which is said to cure, salvation. Throughout this review we will build each day on our readiness as we arrive to our quiet time without our misguided, self-deceptive thoughts. We come to each practice period in the morning, afternoon, and briefly each hour with the intention to begin with a clear mind, released of illusions, as to see the Truth we can no longer hide from.
“Your self-deceptions cannot take the place of truth. No more than can a child who throws a stick into the ocean change the coming and the going of the tides, the warming of the water by the sun, the silver of the moon on it by night” (ACIM Review IV 4:2-3).
Since we are experiencing each practice period in a state of readiness, this means we have moved beyond the story we have created for ourselves. We come with an open heart ready to hear the Voice of God and ready to commune and communicate with the Divine. Without the story playing in our minds, we can hear the guidance that has been there for us all along and can be in a place where we can embody this new conversation, observing how the totality of our energies weave together with God in a symbiotic exchange.
“And so each one will bring the message of His Love to you, returning messages of yours to Him” (ACIM Review IV 6:2).
Notice how we are beyond asking for readiness and wondering if we are ready. We know that we are ready because we are here. During Review IV, we release uncertainty and step into our knowing that no other thoughts but God’s can fully dwell within our minds. We think as One. We move as One. We breathe as One. We are One.
Claiming our holy minds reinforces that our outer world is but the unfolding of the One Cosmic Conversation. With our Sacred Sight we see the Love that is the projection of the One Holy Mind. Thus, throughout our review, we will once more highlight images of the eternal conversation that continuously flows around us. I shall resume sharing with you pictures that have caught my awareness to the degree that I cannot help but recognize that the Comforter is always with me and flowing through me. Let these photos be a reminder to you of each day’s reviewed lessons and the central theme that, “My mind holds only what I think with God” (ACIM Review IV 2:2).
Beyond the words in A Course in Miracles, there is the experience. It is in this experience that we come to fully know the Divinity that enfolds us and Is us. We are nowhere She is not. We are, as She Is. Thus, so is our mind and so is our heart.
